Abaca, also known as manila hemp, is derived from a plant belonging to the banana family. The leaf sheath yields long fibers that have tremendous strength and flexibility. Abaca paper has a tensile strength that is three times that of cotton.
It is naturally acid-free, biodegradable and eco-friendly. Combined with a very strong adhesive, Abaca.sa is a self-adhesive hinging tape ideal for mounting large digital prints and giclees. Will not yellow, harden or seep through.
